Welcome! Here you will find all the information you need to know about me and my practice. As a solo practitioner, I am able to offer services on a personal level. I provide evaluation, treatment, and consultation services to children, adolescents, and families. I also provide specialized services for families undergoing a divorce or separation. I work with parents on navigating through this challenging transition and improving their communication skills while keeping the best interests of the children in mind.
I offer services both in person and through Telehealth (video sessions).

About Dr. Nava:
Marisa Nava is a licensed clinical psychologist who works with children, adolescents, and young adults undergoing a variety of challenges, including coping with divorce, anxiety, depression, social skills challenges, behavior problems, and school issues. She also provides therapy services to children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorders.
Dr. Nava also has extensive experience working with parents who are in separated or divorced. She is committed to helping parents work together to best assist their children through this difficult transition. Services include co-parenting sessions and developing parenting plans. Given her background, Dr. Nava is uniquely able to consider developmental issues and the best interest of the child to help guide families through this process.
Dr. Nava feels strongly about using a collaborative model during the divorce process. Collaborative Practice is a different way to divorce where parties agree to reach an agreement before going to court. This process includes attorneys, mental health professionals, and financial professionals working together with the family. Collaborating during this process is beneficial for all parties involved and allows parents to work together in the best interest of their child/children. This process is often more cost-effective for families than a litigation divorce. Dr. Nava is a trained professional in Collaborative Practice. Dr. Nava is also a Certified Family Court Mediator in South Carolina. She specializes in working with families to create a parenting plan as part of their divorce agreement.
